FAQs
When and where is the wedding?
Our love is too big to fit into just one day, so we’re extending the celebration over the whole weekend! Of course, it’s entirely up to you how long you’d like to stay and join the fun.
Main Ceremony: May 9th at a charming cortijo near Tarifa, Spain. The reception will start at 5 p.m., and the exact venue location will be disclosed later.
Pool Day: May 10th. This is our day to slow down, soak up some vitamin D, enjoy meaningful conversations, and have some wholesome time by the pool. We’ll have a few light activities for recovery and maybe, if the mood strikes, a signature “Rasa’s Bootcamp” session for those who want to join in!
What’s the dress code?
Ceremony: Mediterranean / Spanish
Pool Day: Ultra-casual, or bring the fanciest swimsuit you have! Since it’s still early in the year, our pool day might turn into a cozy-up day with blankets.
How do I get to Tarifa?
By Plane: The nearest airports are Málaga (AGP) and Gibraltar (GIB), each about 1.5 to 2 hours away by car. Main airlines from Lithuania: Vilnius - Malaga (WizzAir and AirBaltic) and Kaunas - Malaga (Ryanair).
By Car: We recommend renting a car, van, or even a campervan to share with friends. In our experience, DoYouSpain offers the best prices. Once you’ve booked your flights, let us know, and we’ll do our best to help organize logistics.
By Bus: There are no direct buses from Málaga Airport to Tarifa, but you can take a bus to Algeciras (just 20 minutes from Tarifa) several times a day. The timetable can be found on AvanzaBus website. There are direct buses to Tarifa from Cádiz and Seville as well.
By BlaBlaCar: Carpooling is also an option through BlaBlaCar, where you can find drivers (if you’re lucky) heading to Tarifa.
What about accomondation?
We’ve got a few rooms at the venue, but not enough for everyone. So why not embrace the great outdoors? Bring a tent, grab a sleeping bag, and get ready for a sleepover under the stars! You know this is our style. If you don’t have camping gear, we’ll supply you with all the essentials. We’ll confirm these details with each of you personally.
Campervans are also welcome, with plenty of space for parking near the venue.
For those who prefer a fluffy white pillow, nearby towns offer hotels and Airbnbs:
Zahara de los Atunes: 10-minute drive
Facinas: 20-minute drive
Vejer de la Frontera: 30-minute drive
Tarifa: 40-minute drive
What about transportation?
There won’t be official transport from the airport or hotels to the wedding venue, but don’t worry—we’ll help connect you with other friends for carpooling!
What’s the weather like in May and what should I wear?
Tarifa is famously windy, and early May can be unpredictable. Expect some sunshine, a chance of rain, and there might be winds up to 40 knots. Daytime temperatures will be around 20-25°C, dropping to 15°C at night. Pack a windproof jacket, a cozy sweater, and pants—but don’t forget a dress and a bikini for the sunny day! Oh, and bring some activewear in case you’d like to go for a hike or do Rasa’s Bootcamp.
What should I get you as a wedding gift?
Your presence is truly the greatest gift, especially since many of you are traveling from far away to celebrate our love. If you’d still like to contribute, we’d love any support toward our honeymoon fund. You can send your gift to:

Can we come early or stay longer in Tarifa?
Absolutely! We’d love for you to experience why we chose Tarifa for our wedding and made it our home.
Tarifa is a windy town known for kitesurfing. If you’re into watersports, bring your gear, or we can help arrange rentals or lessons. Beyond the watersports, Tarifa has amazing restaurants, scenic hikes, horse riding and mountain biking trails - plenty to keep you busy. Our recommendations are:
Sightseeing: Buda Hike, Betis Hike, Punta Paloma Dunes, Isla de las Palomas.
Breakfast/Brunch: Surla, Wanaka.
Tapas: El Lola, El Francés.
Dinner: Silos, Raíces, No. 6 Cocina Sencilla, MicMoc (best woks), Vaca Loca (best steaks in town), La Pinseria (pizza), El Rancho (best steaks outside town).
Sunset Beach Bars: Tumbao and Balneario Beach Club.
Flamenco Show: Almedina Cafe Bar (only on Thursdays at 22:00).
And if you’re up for exploring Andalucía or even taking a quick trip to Tangier, Morocco (just a 30-minute ferry ride from Tarifa!), we encourage you to do so! Andalucía is rich with vibrant cities, historic sites, and picturesque villages, so the adventure doesn’t have to end with the wedding!
We recommend you to visit:
Vejer de la Frontera: A beautiful white village on a hill; great for a walk and lunch at Jardin del Califa.
Ronda: Known for its stunning cliffs and historic bridge with amazing views. Beautiful Instagram pictures guaranteed.
Gibraltar: A mix of British and Spanish culture with stunning views from the Rock and home to the last wild monkeys in Europe.
Málaga: A coastal city with beaches, art, and plenty of tapas to try.
Sevilla: The heart of Andalucía, famous for its cathedral, lively squares, and flamenco.
